Lamentations 2:4-6

New American Standard Bible

⁴ He has bent His ^(A)bow like an enemy;
His right hand is positioned like an adversary,
And He has killed everything that was ^(B)pleasant to the eye.
In the tent of the daughter of Zion
He has ^(C)poured out His wrath like fire.
⁵ The Lord has become like an ^(D)enemy.
He has ^(E)engulfed Israel;
He has engulfed all its ^(F)palaces,
He has destroyed its strongholds
And ^(G)caused great mourning and grieving in the daughter of Judah.
⁶ And He has treated His ^[a]tabernacle violently, like a despised garden;
He has ^(H)destroyed His appointed ^[b]meeting place.
The Lord has ^(I)caused
The appointed feast and Sabbath in Zion to be forgotten,
And He has ^(J)despised king and priest
In the indignation of His anger.
